Class 5 (Year 5)

Welcome to Class 5.

In Class 5 we aim to create a genuine enthusiasm for learning where children aim high in all they do. We aim to plan creative, challenging and engaging lessons that spark our children's imagination. Throughout the year will be teaching a variety of topics. Our first topic is looking at the Ancient Egyptians. Here we plan lessons and link our class texts to the topics. This terms class texts are Nakht's Diary and Secrets of a Sun King.

We are confident that embracing a creative curriculum will lead to improved engagement from our pupils and lead them to achieve their true academic potential. Through problem solving and teamwork we aim to get children to think for themselves more and be resilient learners.

Stay up to date through and follow our Twitter account @MissMcMullan1 and Class Dojo. We love to share work and exciting news to keep you up to date with how the children are doing.

We have so much to look forward to this year from school trips, inspire mornings, reading sessions and a great opportunity to go on a fantastic residential to Robin Wood where life skills and independence are key skills that children develop over their two-night stay in June.
